It is so exciting getting recognition for all the hard work I have done with my wedding photography. Back when I was in art school at Texas State, I used to enter many art competitions. It was always an exciting experience and it always felt nice to be recognized amongst other great artist who inspire me. 4 of my wedding images recently placed in the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers summer photo contest. The competition is open to wedding photographers from around the world and I placed 12th overall! Here are the images that placed in the different categories including FIRST place in the “Pure Art” category!

Annagrace and Steven had a very cute wedding at Vintage Villas in Austin, Texas. It was such a lovely morning wedding looking over Lake Travis. My favorite part of the wedding ceremony was when the bride & groom added soil to the plant. I thought it was such a unique and beautiful way to express their love. Hopefully it grow and flourish as they grow together.

I have always called Bastrop my home… every now and again I get to go back and re-live those fond memories I had growing up in the small town. Ever year, Bastrop has a Rodeo/Carnival… in when I was in 10th grade I won a t-shirt design contest for the carnival and my drawing was printed on hundreds of shirts that where sold at the carnival to help raise money for the Bastrop Association For the Arts Scholarship… which I happen to be awarded upon graduation.
Sam & Colleen wanted something a little different and fun for their engagement photos so when the Carnival came to town… we jumped on the opportunity. Sam went to school at Bastrop High and I have known him for many years. I am so happy they choose me to photograph their wedding coming next April at Star Hill Ranch!
